Shayley,
I am very interested in your new book. As an elementary school teacher for over 25 years I see a lot of young people eating poorly and becoming overweight. It really bothers me. I know that our fast lifestyles are one problem so people choose convenience foods, and the fact that many people don't grow up like you and I did being surrounded by yummy home grown foods. I wish you well on this new endeavor. It is a worthy one! :)

Dear Lydeana and Shayley,
I just finished reading in your book, and I wanted to leave you a message and tell you how much I enjoy reading it!! I read it every now and then, a little at a time, because I don't want to finish it!! I want it to last forever, like a great ice cream cone. You lick and lick it's creamy goodness, and then all of a sudden, you are close to finishing, and you think.....I don't want this to end !!!! That is how I feel about your book !!!! I love you guys, and take care!!!!

Awwww, that brings back memories...but we only had 4 of them, not a whole box full! I won't expound on their final outcome, except to ponder what are chickens for after all? A much easier question for a 44 year old than for a 10 year old.

So thankful to know no polyps were found, I know that put your mind at ease. Thanks for sharing that great news, I'm celebrating with you!

The last couple of days have been so beautiful, I almost forgot how good and uplifting pleasant weather is for the soul!

We need to get together and play some cards!
With much love and continued prayers,
Angela

Shayley,
My dad, also, had a fascination with chickens and guineas and all kinds of birds. In fact, I can remember at one time that he had chickens with feathery feet that laid colored eggs. How cool is that! I believe he got them from another friend who, like you, was very interested in chickens. I wish you the best of luck.
I do not remember our dogs or cats ever bothering the chickens but I do remember Daddy getting really upset with weasels and foxes! They like chickens also.....but only for dinner.
